ORDER OF MERIT(Under Review)

The Order of Merit recognises the most successful players of the year. There are three divisions in the Order of Merit, Scratch to 11, 12 to 21, 22 + and it is open to a fully inclusive field of all SSGC Full Membership holders only, as well as Juniors who have a handicap of 18 or less & play off the yellow tees. This is arguably one of the most prestigious awards to win as it shows prolonged success as opposed to single day wins. We are extremely excited for all women, men and juniors to showcase their skills by entering the Order of Merit, all you firstly need to do is enter one of the events on the Fixture List and you will automatically be in the Order of Merit. The more events you play, the better your chances, but there are no minimum events to be included. There is no charge for entry for the Order of Merit but the prizes are outstanding in recognition of the dedication and consistency on the divisional winners.

All Divisional Prizes Are As Follows:

Strathpeffer Spa Golf Club Matchplay Rules

In the interests of good organisation and fair play, we’ve set out some ground rules for our match play tournaments which we strictly adhere to:

When you put your name on the entry sheet please put the entry fee in an envelope and leave it at the bar (or put it through the shop door). If your entry fee is not received your name will not be included in the draw.

All ties in the club match play competition must be played by the stated date – we can’t grant extensions and no excuses are accepted. The first named player or team shall give their opponents three reasonable optional dates.

Unreasonable dates are considered to be:

– Three consecutive dates
– Three dates in the same week
– Midweek or weekend dates only

If the dates are not offered the second-named progresses to the next round.

If the dates are offered but not accepted, the first-named progresses.

Players are jointly responsible for ensuring that a name is put forward to the next round. If no name is put forward at the closing date both players will be eliminated. There will be no exceptions to this rule.
